Default I remember that feeling...

The stress of the pile is enough to send a recovering smoker over the edge, much less any added problems in your life. I quit on New Year's Eve (yeah, just a few months ago), and have had an easier time than all of the other times I've tried to quit because I was scared that even a minute amount of nicotine showing up on a test would send me home. That fear of not being able to have the surgery kept me cigarette free. Now, 2 weeks post surgery, I've had one or two cravings, but nothing strong enough to make me go back.

Try to find other ways to manage your stress level - walking, massages, facials, pedicures - ways that don't involve food, but gives you an activity that takes your mind off of the cigs. Massage can be expensive, but there are several places in San Diego Metro that offer reduced prices (message me privately if you want to get the names). Honestly, this is probably my top recommendation. If I'd realized before the surgery that I wouldn't be able to have a full body massage for at least a month afterwards, I would have scheduled at least two to hold me over.

Be strong!
