It is really important to get your fluids in because dehydration can and will cause serious complications, such as your pouch folding back on itself, twisted bowel, etc. I diluted everything and put it in the freezer for slushee consistancy. i would take one out and put another in. I never worried about the calories either, if it went down without a problem, it was fine with me. I used one tub of crystal light in one galon instead of two, then I diluted my personal drink half and half of that. I still dilute all my liquids except green tea and frappuccino.

I have been alone on my journey since day one. The pouch rules for dummies is all I had. I was on this board long before it became this one, and when it changed I didn't know how to work it so I just never came.

This is the place to be. You are not alone here. Your weight loss is great, and don't compare yourself please. Some people don't lose as much because they don't walk, or they eat too much, or they drink alcohol. The best advice I can tell you is to follow those pouch rules to a tea for the first six months. Drinking fluid will help your weight loss, walking will help your weight loss.

Try eating your protein instead of drinking it. My surgeon, while giving us ideas about protein, was very adament about NOT drinking protein drinks, but eating our protein instead.

I would not get in the habit of protein drinks, and am glad I never did. I would rather eat a chicken breast, even if I eat on the same breast for ten meals in a day. don't become dependent on supplementing protein.
