I wouldn't go changing my life around for the surgery. I was back to living life and driving my kid to school right away. I have a home in Lancaster, and my first trip up there after surgery was actually no different than the rest. I wouldn't want you to leave the state though until after your six week recovery time. You would want to stay near the surgeon for any unexpected complications.
You hang in there girlie, success is right around the corner!
