Sherry's right. I see there are A LOT of posts lately that are talking about carbs. And they're people who are very early out.
I don't get (and I support every single one of Sherry's posts about carbs).
I'm 6.5 years out. I lost 150 lbs. in 10 months. I ate ZERO EMPTY CARBS. No bread, crackers, pasta, rice. Ya know...those empty useless calorie foods. I didn't eat them for over 2 years. My pouch didn't like them because they filled me up and prevented me from eating the much-needed protein.
Protein for my hair - and I never noticed a hair loss, and this was before everyone talked about it.
Protein for my muscles.
Protein for basically everything.
I personally don't care if anyone eats carbs. It's your body. BUT if you want to know the key to my success I'll tell you this: IT'S BECAUSE I DIDN'T EAT EMPTY CARBS FOR 2 YEARS. With just a couple of exceptions. I mean like A COUPLE.
Everyone makes their own choices. So if you haven't lost all your weight yet, I'll give you a tip: don't eat any empty carbs.
Your body, your choice. Take it for what it's worth, just like any other advice. And yep, I roll my eyes and think to myself: "gee, this person is three weeks out and they're enjoying carbs. That's just plain dumb."
I'm not afraid to say what I think. If you want to succeed like I did, then you can choose to listen to my choices and then make your own.
Oh, and by the way, I broke the cycle of carb addiction by not eating them. Go figure...it was self-discipline after that 10 months when I hit goal. It wasn't the pouch, it was discipline. And cutting the addiction made the discipline easier.
And yeah, I'm gonna post this in a few places. So y'all can take it or leave it.
I've got success on my side. What have you got? Only you can answer that one.
