Yuk. I thought I'd try this today as it has a high content of protein. I've always wondered about this stuff as I've always seen it on sale, didn't like the look of it. As they sell it at my corner shop, this evening I thought lets give it a try. I bought Jack Link's premium cuts, original Beef Jerky, 25g bag (per 100g = Protein 40.g, Fats 3.0g, Carbs 16.6g) I say yuk but I think its mainly the choice of seasoning, maybe its an acquired taste? I know they do barbeque flavour so I'll try that when I get the chance. I've not written this jerky stuff off yet. I'm looking at it as a possible 'on the go' snack. The 25g pack fits nicely into the bottom of my chiller shaker.
I visited the fit and fresh website and they have some great products. I'm interested in the Snack Clip, designed for kids but it also has a snap-in ice pack to keep fruit and snackes chilled; designed to hold 100 calorie snacks. Pretty cool.
