Default July 5 makes 4 years and I'm rocking along doing great!

Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm doing great after four years. My weight fluctuates about 5 pounds up and down due to water retention. I weighed 270 when I had the surgery and now I weigh 155. I weigh myself everyday. I've never been able to drink carbonated beverages, diet or otherwise. I still get the dumping when I have too many grams of sugar at once, around 20+. I am grateful for that. My biggest challenge with the WLS has been remembering to take my vitamins.

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift last summer and it turned out great.

I did have a problem with taking too much LorTab Elixer but when my doctor stopped giving it to me, I stopped taking it (two summers ago). I do believe that since that addiction has gone away I now have an addiction to buying jewelry. I'm going to stop that though, because I now have stuff I don't even remember that I bought and that is bad!

Both my sisters had weight loss surgery, one had the lap band, one had the gastric sleeve. Without getting into any details, I'm convinced gastric bypass was the best choice of the three.

Life goes on, lots of everyday struggles just like everyone else. But with God's help all things are possible! Be encouraged!

Default Happy 4 years.

Congrats on your 4 years and wonderful success. Glad to hear things are sailing along smoothly and that your "pouch" gives you signals that you pay attention to so that you can remain on track. Much success for the next year.
