Default 3.5 years post op GB - complications

I had surgery last week after going through 8 months of discomfort and 30 pounds of weight gain. I had the nurse give me a breakdown of what they did: it looks like you had some abdominal adhesions that they released.

You also had an internal hernia, which is weakening of the sac wall that holds your internal organs. Your small bowel made its way through this hole and was pinching your bowel and causing the pain.

You also had a jejunojejunal intussusception at the anastamosis site of where your small bowel and pouch are sutured together. This means that some of your small bowel was poking up past the anastamosis site into your pouch, which could make it difficult for you to tolerate eating.

Have any of you had these issues? Do you think this could have caused the weight gain?

I have not have any of those issues or really any issues at all. I just wanted to say that I hope you are doing better and that all is well.

Lynne how are you recovering? Have you found your answer to your weight gain question, now that you've had your repair surgery?
