why not try going back to what you ate when you were first post op. that should boost your weight loss and give you more motivation.
i love the syntrax nectar protein shakes. try having 2 of them a day instead of eating.

good luck with everything!

Hi Nicole, I couldn't go back to what I ate when I was first post-op because I would go really hungry and probably eventually gain weight back. I can however work towards eating more proteins than carbs and cut out the excessive snacking that I was doing.

I'll check out those shakes to maybe eat for breakfast some days. Thanks!

So I'm happy to report, I finished the 5 day pouch test and did great. I lose about 4-5 pounds on it from my highest of 223-224 ish. I don't crave snacking AT ALL anymore and seem to stay fuller much longer. This is definitely something I can get used to and stick with. I cannot cut out ALL carbs, but I've learned how to manage them and put protein first.

Thanks again for everyone's support!

Default I remember you

Jenni,

I remember you too. We had surgery around the same time. Didn't your mother do it too? How is she doing? So you are only up about 40 lbs from the weight that you feel most comfortable at. Girl 40 lbs is nothing compared to what's been lost here at this site. You can do it!

Did you ever get post op counseling? My husband and I are finally getting parenting couseling that we've needed for years and years. It is such a relief to know that there is help and that we can move forward and make real changes in an area that we've struggled with for so long. I highly recommend getting some help finding out why you make the choices that set you back, otherwise you just keep making them.

Good luck to you and God bless you!

Minime

Jennimaria, are you still checking in here? Have you kept on top of the beer thing? I know you got moving back in March, and I just want to see where you and the rest of us that posted here are at now...
