I too am starting my 6 month diet this month. I am very excited about having the surgery. If I am calculatiing correctly, we should have our surgery sometime in August. I am looking forward to it!!

I wanted to offer some advice for those who are just starting out on the 6 month dr supervised diet. Usually when you go into see you pcp, the nurse will ask you what your there for. Make sure that she writes on the page that you are there for your scheduled monthly visit for bariatric surgery or weight loss surgery. It's very important to do this. Also add that you are following what ever exercise program your pcp has you on. If you leave it for the dr to add it may not get done. This way the insurance comp cant say that your pcp did not state that the visits were for wls. I learned this the hard way!!
I am still post op as you can tell by my sig and stats I have been on this journey a while. Next month will be a yr. It doesn't take that long for most ppl. I had and insurance change and now I am waiting for a new set of vacation days to come April 1st.
