I am just wondering...as always...did you find it difficult to stick to the pre-op shakes? I am worried that the dr will postpone my surgery because I am only getting into the pre-op diet two weeks before op.I have almost kept to the 2 shakes per day but then lose it at night when I cook for the family.I thought I would still lose weight but I am the same weight as before.
Did you guys lose a lot of weight pre-op? When I look at how much weight that is lost by a month pre-op it seems amazing? How strange does it seem?
Some of my concerns are:
1. When I get to live this longer life will I start to forget to eat and drink at all and not be able to care for myself?
2.Is it true that once the gland that emits hunger hormones is removed you don't feel hungry.Despite my fear above I don't want to feel hungry ever again!!!
3.I am scared I will look older once the padding on the face is gone.Do you feel that you look older?
4.I love my bottle of wine when out with the girls at lunch.Don't do it often but REALLY enjoy it.Don't want to sit there feeling like a shag on a rock.I can deal with the smaller meal but do you really have problems drinking even sipping small amounts until 30 mins after a meal????Or does this come under the heading of "changing attitudes towards food and drink"-FOREVER?
PS: where do I get that weight loss avator from-the one that looks like a train track-or in your case Aviator a runway?
