Well, I am back from the Dr. I am happy and sad at the same time.... They gave me the referral for the consultation right then and there, I thought it would take time to go through. They can't refer me to Dr. Callery, since my PCP is affiliated with Crown Surgery (THAT SUCKS). Then I came home and read through everything and it says I have to do the 6 month monitored weight loss diet thingy. That makes me sad, but I figured that was coming. Then, since I already have my referral for the consultation I called the surgeon to make that appointment and was told that my Dr.'s office didn't do the right referral....it has to be on the "long form". So, I called my PCP's office and had to leave a message for the nurse, since NO ONE ever answers the phone over there. The receptionist told me it could be two weeks for the "long form" referral to go through.... boo hoo!! I feel like I am already having to jump through the hoops...and I am too fat to jump!!
