The one I highly recommend is "The Real Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery"
Authors: Julie Janeway, Karen Sparks and Dr Randal Baker
I read it because it was written by 2 of my surgeon's patients, my surgeon and several members of his practice. These 2 women have become my mentors when it comes to my support group. So I admit I may be a bit biased. But the book is written with a wonderful sense of humor. It presented things from the patient's side of all of this. And really tells it like it is. Yes, they talk about complications they had that others don't but for me I appreciated the knowledge of others experiences even if they weren't the same as mine. Its an easy read but a book I have gone back to often. Sometimes I just needed it to know that things I was feeling physically and emotionally were 'normal'.
You can pick it up at amazon at a good price.
