As the others have said, but I'll repeat for emphasis..

Fluids.. I know when I don't get enough fluid in, I get hungrier than I do when I'm well hydrated...(NOT diet coke which leaches calcium we can't afford to lose, from our bones!)

Protein/Carb ratio.. I find when I get too little protein or too much carb in my diet that I get hungrier and I get hungry sooner than I do when it's in the right balance..

And heaven forbid the fluids/protein/carbs all get out of whack, I'm starving... I have to work REALLY hard to get my fluids in, because honestly, I never feel thirsty at all. Pre-op, I always ran on the slightly dehydrated side in my labwork and I'm still seeing that now and it does affect me (in many ways, too... from stalls, to hunger to just ill feelings)
