I was finally able to get a straight answer from my insurance. I *DO* have weight loss surgery benefits, so long as I meet their medical qualifications (which so far I do.... 5', 225lbs, BMI of 43 with hypertension that is still high even though I'm on two drugs, a fatty liver..... sigh

)And they are willing to pay an out-of-network surgeon since I'm in Arizona for school. Woohoo!!!
I went to a seminar over the summer.... and my first consultation is next Monday. I'm excited.... but at the same time, just thinking about it makes my stomach jump into my throat. I am so terrified that for whatever reason, it's not going to work out.... I would be absolutely crushed.
Anyway... I'm sorry if threads like this have already been posted, but I would love to hear "first consultation" stories. I'm a bit squeamish about anything remotely "medical"..... so I'd like to know what I should expect over these next few months.
Thank you in advance.
