Someone mentioned pizza delivery..... Don't laugh at that job. My son makes three times more than most kids his age in this area make delivering for Dominos. He gets mininum wage, a certain fee for each run, plus his tips, which by the way equals twice what his hourly wages are. So, 1/3 of his pay is minimum wage, plus the other 2/3 is his tips and fees for runs. So, he is making more than most grown men in this area with families! Now that gas prices are low, low, low....he is making money off the run fees too now. I was very upset with him when he first graduated high school because he insisted he was going to work there with his other friend who was already making this kind of money. I told him it was a joke to work there. Well, looks like the joke is on me because the kid makes more than I do in a week. So, if I were you, I'd go for it a week or two and see how it goes if there is nothing else. You might be surprised. I was VERY HAPPILY surprised with my son. He is starting is career in law enforcement when he turns 19 though. He will be going to college for forensic science after he gets his academy training behind him. He already has a job promised at the local prison as a guard. They will pay to send him through the academy if he works there and he can start there at age 19 instead of having to wait until he's 21 to get into local law enforcement or state troopers. He has a plan and I'm very proud of him for what he is accomplishing in his plan so far. Hey, he has a newer car than I do and mine is not so bad! lol Anyway, I hope you are finding hope in some job.
