Keeping up with your protein is vital all the way around. I was also advised to take a B complex and a low dose zinc capsule. Thankfully, my loss was barely noticeable.

Some also swear by biotin but I've never tried it.

The good news is that any loss is usually temporary.
Thank you!! That's what I want to hear ... temporary.

Over the years (on and off) I always take "Hair Factors" by TwinLab. I take it as a precaution because I get my hair chemically processed twice a year. I've never had hair loss due to the Japanese Straightener but I always take Hair Factors 2 months before and 2 months after the process just to be safe. Here's a link to the Hair Factors I buy and you can see the ingredients: VitaDigest.com - Hair Factors - Twinlab Hair Factors - Buy Hair Factors Now and Save!

I wonder if I can take this after surgery. I'll have to bring a bottle in when I go see D. Bertha next month and get his opinion because he may have something else in mind.

When I take Hair Factors, I always take 6 pills every day (3 in the morning and 3 at night). Maybe that is what helps keep my hair so thick and full, who knows lol
