Fortunately, I'm with a surgeon who believes in protein supplements and even now, I still have at least one protein drink a day.

I don't eat meat so getting in what I work best at (80g + a day) would be difficult without supplementation.

During my active weight loss period, I always shot for 100g plus of protein. I've been through 2 major surgeries now and I credit my speedy and problem free recovery from getting that protein in.
