Smile Depression

At 1 1/2-2 years out I dont think we get depressed because of our loss of comforting ourselves with food, at this point we can eat pretty much whatever we want. I think it has to do with the fact that we have finally adjusted to our new look, which happens very rapidly. The transformation is amazing, the way people look at you changes. So we get used to that. But I can say from my own experience, I used to dream about how my life would be if I was thin. I would look at models and actresses and wonder what my life would be like if I too were thin. I would be at a bar with friends, and see thin women and wonder what it was like to be her, to be thin.

So fast forward to now, I had expectations for the way being thin would change my life, nothing has changed. Just my wardrobe. Now the thin people are "intimidating" so your still ignored. People stare now, not because your a mountain of a girl, but because your attractive. So your atill ignored and still stared at. Your still unapproachable. You make different decisions on what to do for fun, you refuse certain types of foods and yet you get people judging you for that... like your high maintence now. All because we had to make changes in our lives to have wellness. Then you see how shallow people really are, the thin beautiful people you admired for so long. Its a let down.
So this is just my own experiences, the way I feel. Im not sure if anyone else has felt the same or not. Can ya relate?

I had a tummy tuck too, and never got post op depression. I was really excited too, and cooler!

What Sawyer would call me on LOST: ladybug

"People will argue with you that getting what you want in life isn’t something you can learn, if you’re destined to be one of the worlds winners as opposed to one of its perpetual whiners, its because you have been born with the right talents and temperament and have a big dose of self-esteem, ambition, and good judgment."
