Protein not only 1st but mostly!

Thank you for the warm welcome! After 10 years the most important thing I learned is not only protein first but mostly protein. Even fat is okay as long as you don't eat carbs. Once you train your body not to rely on carbs as fuel you can eat some carbs without too much trouble but carbs make our bodies hold onto fluid and actually make us hungrier by lowering blood sugar.
I don't eat any kind of ice cream, cake, or regular sodas ever. I do drink diet coke but only after the first year. At first the carbonation caused me pain. I will still get some pain if I drink something that is too cold too quickly (like iced tea on a hot day...sometimes I just gulp it down too fast and I get cramps).
By the way, I still weigh myself every day. Before I started losing weight again because of my thyroid, I would always watch my eating more closely if I gained even 2#'s.
Anyone had plastic surgery yet?
