What do you mean by "normal"? Do you mean how soon after surgery will you go at all? Or do you mean when will you be "regular"? I went 5 days after surgery, I think. After a few weeks of it being too much one way or the other, I'm now totally "normal". No difference from pre-op except smaller. (trying to not be graphic, but hard to avoid it) That said, I have far fewer food issues than most people, it seems. I haven't thrown up once and I can eat anything that isn't fried and doesn't have sugar. I don't consume caffeine at all (haven't in 8 years). Maybe since I eat normal food (rather than mostly protein shakes and other liquids) that influences it. I do have a protein shake once a day maybe 5 days out of 7 and add some Benefiber to it.
