I'm only about to start month 3 of my 6-month medically supervised diet for insurance. I have my initial consultation with my surgeon on October 27 (went to the required info session in early August, and this was the first consult appointment they had available with my desired surgeon!). I have met up with some local DSers for lunch and have started attending a WLS support group. I have a binder of information I've collected (copies of studies and articles, WLS procedure comparison charts, recommended vitamin schedules, my insurance requirements, etc.). I have months of waiting still, so I am keeping myself busy! I'm looking at surgery probably around May or June of 2009, assuming my insurance approves me on my first submittal. |
