My surgery was Monday, 6/9, and my doctor sent me home with Oxycodone (Percocet). The script says 1-2 every 4-6 hrs., but I'm only taking 1 because more than that and I'm apt to feel nauseous (they sent me home with a pill for that as well). Did they send you home with anything?
My neck muscles were wicked sore as well but they feel almost better now, just a few days later. My throat wasn't sore though. Do you have a heating pad or one of those things that are filled with barley (or something like that) that cna be microwaved to heat it? That might help the neck, just don't get it too hot.
I'm walking around the house (to get water, go to the bathroom, etc.) but I'm not going anywhere or going for walks, it seems way too early for that. My left side is very sore. I feel much better today than I did 2 days ago, so I assume I'll feel even better in 2 more days! I need to get a Father's Day gift for my dad, so I'll probably go to a store tonight or tomorrow with DH (can't drive while on Percs, and I don't really want to go out by myself yet anyway).
You had surgery on 6/11 and they sent you home on 6/12? That seems really quick. My doctor wanted me to stay until 6/12 (I begged to go home) and my surgery was 2 days before yours. There is no way I could have gone home 1 day afer surgery, I couldn't even get out of bed at that point, I was a mess. I'm curious to see comments from the more experiences people. I've never heard of a one-nighter for RNY (lap-band, yes).
