So true, protein is what we need. At a year out and at goal, I still feel best if I stick to a mostly protein diet. Here is an example of what I eat:

Snack

Tuna, Canned 194 cal 1 fat 0 carb 43 prot.
Light salad dressing 37 cal 3 fat 2.5 carb 0 prot.
Snack
Melon 1cup 57 cal 0 fat 14 carb 1 prot.
Mozzarella Stick 80 cal 5 fat 1 carb 8 prot.
Dinner
Beef, stew meat 1cp 313 cal 15fat 0 carb 42 prot.
Green beans 1/4cp 11 cal 0 2 carb 1 prot.
Snack
Sugar free popsicle 10 cal
Totals 907 calories 39 gms fat 23 gms carbs. 109 gms protein.
