In reading your posts I have concerns if RNY is right for you. It sounds like you are not ready to make a change in what you eat. You need to do that no matter which operation you have. If you think having RNY is a magic bullet....it isn't. You may lose more weight, but if you don't make those necessary changes, you will gain it back, just like you did with the band except which much more risk involved with the surgery.

ARe you willing to commit to the vitamin regimen required or you will have long term neurological complications, anemia, etc.

Don't think the surgery will do all the work for you. You need to do it yourself!!!

I am not saying don't do it, I am saying go into it with your eyes wide open and ignorance is not excuse. If you don't like the sensation of food getting stuck...well there is no band to withdraw fluid from...it is stuck for real with this surgery. You need to be willing to not eat the foods that give you that sensation
