I agree... counting on other people to motivate you to workout or go to the gym will lead to disappointment when they back out or don't show. If you are worried about people at the gym, join a women't fitness center - that's how I started. Trust me, people are more worried about themselves than what you are doing. Put some headphones on and go for it!
