OH Donna...((hugs)) I checked in today as it was one year ago that things just seemed to all go downhill. But I made it back up that hill and doing just fine, better than fine!
You are correct, I live a stones throw from Alaska, where people really do live in houses, not igloos. We like to travel, but with the fuel costs its crazy to take our holiday trailer almost anywhere. We can fly or cruise for much cheaper!
Life sure sends us good and bad and I guess its just all how we take it on. So far, I think I am winning..correction, I am winning. Turning 40 in a few weeks and looking back years ago with the wait lists for surgery I remember crying thinking I was going to be a fat, flabby and heading over the hill 40. NOT SO. I took charge, made it happen and so much healthier for it. I can't always say happier, cause I was a happy fat person in life, not happy with my health and weight, but I lived life very much like I live it now, just a little better. I have always had good support around me and a good workplace and that kept me grounded.
Thank you for thinking of me, its friends like you that got me through this, and for who I am truly thankful. One day our faces may meet and a we shall share a hug like we have know each other for years. :-)
