Hi Yolanda;
I've not tried weight watchers, atkins, or any type of diet like that. Mainly because of the exact thing you experienced - and it's the same with any diet, once you come off it, the weight comes back, sometimes with a vengance!
In high school I did lose 100 lbs. but that was agressive so I could enter the Air Force. Through the years, I've been able to lose between 40 to 60 lbs. but it always came back. About 5 years ago, I tried once again. I changed my eating habits, and went to a health club 3 to 4 times a week. I did manage to lose 60 lbs. in 6 months. When I changed my routine and cut back on the health club - the weight came back less than a year later.
The people who've had the surgery will give you the straight talk. They are honest, straight forward and will tell you like it is. In all, these are the most wonderful people you will ever meet.
WLS is a like a "final solution" for people who've tried and not been successful with anything else. (I don't believe in the word "failure").
I've not had the surgery - yet. I do however, expect to have it done before the fall.
