most of my chewables are a bit chalky i like to say. and i have to swish with some water after for the taste it leaves in my mouth when done.
I'm with you Theresa, I haven't felt much like eating. My mom was getting pretty worried about me cause everything I can have this week has not agreed with me, and I either have to run off to the bathroom for diarhea or have the dry heaves.
However! i have to report that over the weekend I dabbled a bit into my diet i can start this thursday... and whee! FOOD.
I had about 2 tbsp of eggs made with milk and cheese and those sat heavy but stayed down for some protein in raw form there. Then i tried some mashed potatoes.. yup about 3 oz and i was good and satisfied.
We all went out to the texas roadhouse for my cousin's 30th birthday tonight. My first time eating out since my surgery a week and a half ago. I ordered just a side of mashed potatoes with a little gravy, no butter. The waitress about laughed at me and kept asking "is that all? Just that? Can I interest you in a steak or salad or fish..." Nope... just the water and mashed potatoes pls lol. I think my dinner was $1.60. Cheap date. Then while everyone had a fabulous turtle ice cream cake from DQ.. I tried a dulche de leche SF pudding cup. Divine and stayed well on the pouch.
I do however need to start getting more of the protein shakes in. Mashed potatoes has no nutritional value, but it's sure nice to be able to eat and not be sick immediately.
I'm thinking about trying some of the tasteless protein powder for the next couple weeks to help on foods like that. Has anyone tried that? Is it truly without nastiness?
