I, like Zen am way past 6 months. To be honest with you I really can't remember when I tried any of the foods listed on your list. I can tell you this, twizzlers, 1 or 2, any more than that at one setting makes me sick.

They make little mini bags of popcorn, although I don't eat it very often it's nice to have a small bag. If I pop a regular bag I want to eat the whole thing. Lately the artificial butter flavoring smells and tastes awful to me. I'd rather have it the old fashioned way (poppping in a pan on the stove) I also have a popper for the microwave. It's pretty good, but I've been out of the little popping cups so I haven't made any in quite some time.

I have always had a slight allergy to nuts, cashews, sesame seeds and poppy seeds inparticular, but all in all nuts in general give me a lot of gas and abdominal pain.

I don't eat rasins straight out of the box, but I do like them in things like rice pudding and oatmeal rasin cookies. Alas, any more than one oatmeal cookie does me in and like the Lays comercial (who can eat just one?) so I refrain from making them except for around the holidays.

I agree with others, if you're going to try something new, try a very, very small amount, trust me, if you dump, you will learn where your limits are.

Things like icecream, I can do the top of a baby soft serve (my husband usually has to eat from the top of the cone down) That really hurts his feelings too! LOL. As far as regular icecream from a carton, I can usually tolerate between a 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of vanilla, chocolate or butterpeacan. All the others like praline peacan, moose tracks etc. that have all that extra "stuff" added, I can't tolerate very well. I'm not sure but I think it's just way too much raw sugar.

All in all, I think I'd rather have my strawberry yogurt over a sliced banana. My favorite snack! I buy the one that is around 60 calories and has added calcium etc. I think it's call light and fit. I've been experimenting a little after reading all the posts about smoothies. With the couple smoothies I've made, I can pretend I'm eatting icecream. Not too bad.

The only thing I can say is take it slow, and don't push to try too much new stuff too soon. Best wishes.

Sharon
