Thanks everyone for your input! This is a tough decision for me. I needed a reduction long before I got heavy. I was a 36 DD when I got married 25 years ago at 145 pounds. The problem is I can get the surgery now and the insurance will pay for it. If I wait, they'll probably consider it cosmetic (unless they're still big).

After having big boobs since age 10 (seriously, my 10th birthday present was a bra), I would never consider implants.

After reading what everyone advised, I think I'll wait. I really can't get excited about having two surgeries in one year. I had 2 pregnancies, one was twins with a vertical C section. My belly looks like a road map and I'll probably need some kind of cosmetic surgery after all this anyway.

In answer to Marie, I had contemplated that--having the reduction and not having WLS. The problem is, I've gone through so many ups and downs with my weight that I need the WLS. I can't seem to get much below 190 without blowing up again. The only time I was less than 170 was after I had my kids and started smoking again. I have to stay off the cigs for good and I know the weight will just keep piling on if I don't do something drastic.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your support. I'm glad I found this site. You people are the best!
