I'm 12 days post-op and my energy is still in question, too. Because I now can sleep for longer periods of time without a bathroom break, I actually slept and slept and slept Saturday and Sunday away.

I can be up and going for about 4 hours, but depending on what I do, I can quickly get zapped. Even so much as emptying the dishwasher can land me on the couch for an hour, or in bed for a nap.

I think it may be do to my calorie intake, or lack thereof. I'm supposed to track that too, and in doing so, looking over my chart, I've been eating as little as 300 cals per day to as much as 900. I think on my higher calorie days I felt better.

I just might get chewed out for my chart on Tuesday when I see my nutritionist... but sometimes it's hard to eat when you're not feeling hungry, or tracking yourself properly. Especially when, in your brain, you'd say to yourself, "if I don't eat, I'll lose weight".... something I always thought was correct, yet was well-informed, was the way to "gain" weight.

Not eating to lose weight matra is something very difficult to break and is what got to me to where I am. Having to force myself to eat is often very difficult, but part of my continued retraining for life eating program.

Good luck!

Day 38: short supermarket trip - didn't use a riding cart for the first time in 3 years!
Day 40: hernia pain began
Day 56: tops officially went from 3x to 2x... pants from 2x to 1x
Day 63: Two-terville
Next Challenge: Shopping at Walmart without a riding cart (can't do it yet: walking hurts like heck)

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!
