I'm definitely NOT knowledgable about "dumping" (thank goodness!), but it does sound as if your pouch didn't want that fish at this time. I'd wait a week and try it again. With my experience...even if the meat is MOIST...I have to add a sauce of some form (be it ketchup, BBQ sauce, mayo, or mustard) that seems to help "coat" the protein so my pouch can handle it.

Each pouch is different (and can change often)...my pouch didn't like toast for the longest time, but now I can eat a LITTLE bit of hard crusted bread (like sour dough)...just the crust, not the doughy bread part.
