Well...a girl has to do what a girl has to do. I'll talk with my dietitian on my next visit. By that time I should be on a "regular" diet (if you can call it that) and getting most of my protein thru food. Though my beloved dietitian did say I would be supplementing my diet with protein drinks or supplements FOREVER MORE!

I have noticed that there are so many variations of what a person can consume or not consume or what they should be having for protein or not having and on and on and on. What works for one person may not work for another. We all do our best I guess.

My doctor is quite the "maverick" when it comes to eating before and after surgery. I only had to be on a liquid diet one day before surgery and after surgery was on a liquid diet for only a few days and then it was "soft". So far no complications; only one "dumping" incident and it's ever onward.

I guess I'm using this as an illustration of how what we consume and what we are told to do before and after surgery varies drastically sometimes from doc to doc and program to program.

Yup...a girl has to do what a girl has to do.

cheers...mumsy
