I'm so sorry Nisa and you are having these scary, awful tests these days. As I read through your laundry list of procedures Nisa has endured, the thought came to me that if it was me, I would have a bilateral mastectomy and be done with it. She is wise to have chosen the option with the least possibility of recurrence. Yep, it will be harder in the beginning, but worth it in the end. Have they done sentinel node biopsies on both breasts? That would be important to learn if the cancer has spread out of the breast area. She should also have scintimammography--it's a nuclear medicine study that will show if she has any more areas that need to be looked at.
My heart goes out to both of you, and I wish comfort and ease for both of you during this stressful time.
