Yes, please drink as much as you can, your pouch will tell you if it was too much for you. Don't try to drink or eat too fast. allow some time for things to pass the your pouch opening with ease.
Don't pass up the protein (whey protein isolates are easiest absorbed by your body)...
I thought I wanted to go back after a week then a week and a half, then 2 weeks, but did not go back until 2 1/2 weeks and I am glad I stayed out that long. Week 1 once I was home, I felt fine. But at week 2 the fatique hit me. Still having effects from anestesia (sp?). I stayed home until I tried my first smushy foods at 2 weeks and was ok with them. Then I went back to work.
I was still called from my job when one of my big clients needed something. And I was still paid for my time because of the special situation going on at work (we are all losing our jobs - company is merging with another one in Florida) They are being very lenient with the few of us who are still here working until they close the doors here.
I am now 4 weeks out and feel very normal in many ways.
When I was 2 weeks out, I really only "ate" 2 things a day. And I made sure to drink my protein drinks. -And I was fine.
Oh, and Congrats to both of you!
