Re the citrus: I was told not to eat any of the white part of the membranes from the citrus, but the fruit itself was okay.. I just needed to cut that off meticulously.
Re the grapes: I dunno, grapes were given as an 'okay' if I tolerated it.. I've had some, I just make sure I chew well, and if I have any problem with any portion of the skin, I spit that part out.
I don't make either of them a habit in my diet, due to the sugars and my being diabetic but I've had them on occasion. Last time I had a bit of orange, my pouch didn't like it much and started to ache.. that was after just two small sections.
I've also swiped a small bit of popcorn from Geof on occasion as well with absolutely no ill effects other than my wanting more, LOL.

Thanks for the info!
I was told that swollowing gum would lead to the ER, becuase if it gets stuck you will not be able to drink water. But that it would be easy to remedy ... just a pain in the ass. The whole surgical take on it is new to me though.
So that means I can have cirtus juice??? Man, I'm gonna call my doc and ask her what's up. I sure do miss civeche.
The no grapes thing sounds very strange to me, I just can't put my finger on that one.
Anyone else???
