Sharon... Thank you.

Each day seems to be 100% better from the previous. I was finally able to lay down, but only on my left side. I have Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo and rolling over on to my right in slow motion without sitting up in the process just makes the room spin.

I forgot I had a back rest, one of those 'big' wedges and that has given me a chance to lay down, but not be completely flat and it seems to be working (if only that drizzling need would realize that I'm trying to sleep)

I'm wearing a tummy binder (have to wear it until doc says it's OK to take off because I asked him NOT to give me retention sutures and he made me very happy) so I feel like I'm wearing an eternal girdle. (and I haven't worn a girdle since I got pregnant 15 years ago.) I undo it to clean the sutures and drainage, to scratch and just let my skin loose, but without getting up so as not to upset the stitches.

FWI: retention sutures are no picnic -- been there, had that and once was plenty bad enough! ! ! so I promised to be a good girl with the binder!

Day 38: short supermarket trip - didn't use a riding cart for the first time in 3 years!
Day 40: hernia pain began
Day 56: tops officially went from 3x to 2x... pants from 2x to 1x
Day 63: Two-terville
Next Challenge: Shopping at Walmart without a riding cart (can't do it yet: walking hurts like heck)

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!
