Nicole, if you are referring to IV steroids...which is a type of NSAIDs that is used in the hospital...you will still need to be on some kind of protectant. All NSAIDs thin your blood..no matter how they are given, which increases your chance of getting ulcers. It isn't only the fact that NSAIDs can irritate your pouch it is also the fact that it thins your blood that compounds the problem.
