One thing I forgot to mention is that my husband is 12 years older than me and we're concerned about having children too late in his life.
Hey brand new on here but saw your post and had to chime in!! Everyone's journey is different with WLS and the emotional and physical changes we all go through. Look at my stats...there are people on here who lost that weight in a matter of months and it has taken me a little over a year. (I do have to say that I have gone from a 26/28 to a 14/16 if anyone counts inches around here!! LOL)
Regardless of what the scale says today for you or for me or what it says a year from now the best lesson I have learned emotionally in this whole journey is to be a healthy selfish. Speaking as a parent, my fiance and I will not have more children until I am at a healthy weight for me and baby. I need to learn how to make myself a priority so I can be a good mom for my son and any future children. Am I good person/mom/friend/fiance?? Yes BUT I cannot be all of those things if I am dead and do not take care of myself.
You and your husband have to do what's right for you. There have been a few lap band babies I've read about on Dr. Kuri's webpage. They unfil you enough to eat for you and baby, and sounds like these women just gain their healthy baby weight and take it right back off again.
Both of these events will be life changing for you and good luck to both! They both open doors that you can't even imagine until you experience them yourself!!
