It is just luck of the digestive track. The surgery, at least in the states, has gotten to the point where every surgeon does it pretty much identically. The pouch is a standard size and the amount of intestine they bypass is also standard.

Dumping is hit or miss. I don't dump on sugar but too much carbs or fat I do. I however get low blood sugar dumping not running for the restroom dumping. So I do it... feel like crap and have an awful headache and wanna die sometimes. It's good reminder to not do that.
