Thumbs up Hi Nell!

I am also just starting this WLS (weight loss surgery) journey. My appointment for the surgeon's office seminar is this Thursday morning for 3 hours. In order to even go to the seminar, I had to have my PCP (primary care physician) put in for an authorization from Healthnet HMO. It only took them two days to approve the referral. Since I made my decision to pursure surgery, I've been researching the types of procedures. At first I was sure I would go with the LapBand, but now as I read more, I'm not sure anymore. I am 5'7" and weigh 260 pounds so I have 120 pounds to lose and many people have advised me that the lap RNY would be a better option for me. Good Luck in your quest, and let us all know how the process is going! April in Sacramento
