Kel is right - if it'll get you moving, do it.
And exercise in water a great way to kick start an exercise routine. Early out of surgery, we're still on the puffy side which can be hard. Being in water is easier on the joints.
Go for it - I know that Claire (in-Texas) did (maybe still does) a lot of it - but she's now all skinny and works out on a Total Gym!
