What Are the Effects
Hi,
Just wanted to say how supportive you must be as a wife, I take my hat off to you.
I am due to have a bypass in the summer (not sure of date yet) and my husband, pretty much, sounds the same as you, he is scared of the effect it will have on our social life, also will I be on his case to lose weight with me (he is also obese), he is worried about the risks of surgery, will I develop blood clots (I have a history of them) also if I am an emotional eater...what will I turn to if food is no longer an option for me?
I am due to have my final test with a pyschiatric profiler on 21st May, dont think it would be wise of me to voice these feelings to the profiler as this could jeopadise my surgery.
Perhaps there is a site for partners/spouses of patients who have wls? Wouldnt be a bad idea to set one up.
