You will be fine. It's no walk in the park that's true. I didn't have any muscle work done, but I did have hernia repair. So it sounds about like the same incision that I had. I had 100 staples, not to scare you now, should I even have told you that? There were two drains, one off each hip and yes, it was worse than the open RNY as far as soreness. I took about a week off work, well not really I did go in one day that week had to no choice. Not sure if yours will be similar but after the first week like all surgeries it gets better. I was also given an elastic band to wear which gives you a sense of security that everythings not going to fall out. Besides it makes you look really thin!!!! Anyway they don't let you wear it forever

but that's okay. I wish you the best of luck oh and by the way the belly button went by the way side too! Too many surgeries and too much risk of loss of blood circulation due to moving and scar tissue so I said what do I need it for anyway, and it also makes it easier on the surgeons. Well I'm rambling now so....keep your chin up and keep plugging away at it.
