In preperation for the la jolla half this weekend, i've switched to speed training the last few weeks and very short runs.
Duckie - GU is a small packet of gel that is mostly sugar, electrolytes, caffiene and vitamins that people in endurance sports use to keep their body going. You are supposed to take it about every 40 minutes during long runs or activity. Becuase it is mostly sugar, I was very worried that my body wouldn't accept it and shut down during my runs. Must be really fun watching the Boston - hopefully i'll participate in it next year!
