Mine was a joke as well...but at least insurance covered it! I left thinking that I was ready to be committed to some long term facility. Besides blubbering along like a total idiot the entire time, the woman I saw kept asking me if I was prepared for death should that happen. I told her if it did happen, there'd be nothing I could do about it, right? So why be concerned if I don't have control? She thought I was being flippant, but I was really trying to keep her talking so that I would have time to remember the five words she told me to remember. I couldn't remember any of them. Even after she gave me hints.

I was sure that she thought I was crazy as hell. I left her office and went straight to McDonald's for some burger therapy. (This was pre-op, mind you...) McDonald's doesn't work anymore.
