Hello Jeff and welcome to the TT family.
Congratulations on the 50 lbs you have already lost. That is a good result. I think it is important to remember what you have to work with as far as your food intake and digestive system go. I would hope that you were given a plan for eating from your Dr. and would suggest that you follow it especially at 2 months after surgery, as the eating process at this early stage is important. Also, I dont want to sound like a know it all, my sharing only my experience, the water and the protein required each day really keeps your body in good functioning condition.
Isn't it great to start to enjoy the playing of sport again or for the first time. This surgery will work if you work the surgery that you have been given. The whole point of getting gastric surgery in my opinion is that it was the last resource for many of us who tried and tried again to be healthy and fit. Try and think positive and that you will maintain the new body you are wanting, because you are also changing your thought process during this time about yourself and what you do with the eating as well. Put the fear factor behind you now and go forward on the journey of what will be a great life ahead.
Keep posting here and you will get feedback from others too.
I wish you alot of success in your new life journey.
