Any time, Jane. It is scarey how many doctors aren't aware of this information, even if it was a resident obviously bariatrics was his/her rotation right now and that is something they should know! It's something that is pretty basic knowledge when it comes to a RNY. I understand other doctors who aren't bariatric surgeons not knowing it....but that is when we as patients have to step up and be our own advocate. I've had several doctors who have tried to tell me to take Motrin/Ibuprofen and I just let them know I can't take it and then do a wee bit of educating. .
