) and as we stood there looking at her while she slept, I was overcome with the love, and couldn't believe that we had
created an actual human being, and one so perfectly beautiful. And I'll never forget when they laid Jay in my arms for the first time. He was remarkably alert, and when I spoke to him he focused his eyes (and don't believe the crap they tell you about how they can't see yet) on me, as I spoke to him. I knew he was my last baby, as I had had them tie my tubes while they were in there, so having him was all the more tender. I'll never forget the words I spoke to my new child, and he was fixed on this voice he had been listening to for 9 months.
No matter what one's faith is, looking at the miracle we create with our love is a drop to your knees moment. If you have any more children, it will be just as miraculous and another door in your heart will open to love your new child just as much as you love Brandon. It's a very inspirational event, and I'm so happy to have been witness to it, even just a moment of it. Thanks for coming, and thanks for bringing your new heart's desire.
