The deal is simple...what can you get down? If you can take a pill...take it. If you can't it's chewables. Like Beth said though, you can't have time released, they just don't work well with our systems, so extended release, or any type of time based release of meds. is no good. Me...I take Centrum Preformance MV, and about 5 Calcium Citrate Petites a day. They are as large as I can do safely. The chewables are only until you can get something better in.... Most of the time, the kids types and other chewables don't have the nutritional requirements for an adult, so you have to take more. Just do what works for you and you and your Surgeon are comfortable with. (You might give the office a call and ask which they prefer you on and why. That will put you in the clear if they don't want you taking pills of that sort for whatever reason. Calls are simple and Free!)
